Understanding each other sooner...
by cuddling, listening & telling.
Our mission is improve well-being by supporting communication.
is a soft cuddly toy that can record child/client stories and that you can listen to via the (offline) app.
In the Netherlands 1 in 10 children is bullied, 34,000 children receive special education and there are 62,000 children with an intellectual disability. Sharing feelings and emotions straight to adults can be difficult for them. The Stoytelling Cuddly Toy helps with this.

We are a socially driven organization (2024) that contributes to psychological well-being by improving communication between clients and caregivers.
As a company we stand for social cooperation, circular services and we are growing towards Steward Ownership Model, in which we jointly determine the course and development of SAMbuddy. Do you also want to contribute to that?
…through donations some clients, with care needs in a difficult home situation, got their own SAMbuddy?
… you can try out SAMbuddy for a month first?
… you, as a healthcare or education expert, can join the conversation about the development of SAMbuddy?
… SAMbuddy is produced in a social way, with allergy-free and recycled materials?
… SAMbuddy lasts 5 years?
Bullying is not always visible. The SAMbuddy helps clients share their experiences at their own pace. A private space, like a quiet room, is recommended for a safe environment.
On sensitive topics like gender, sexual orientation, discrimination, and refugees, the SAMbuddy provides a neutral role. By recording questions and having the SAMbuddy ask them, clients often feel safer and less shy to respond.
As a parent, understanding your child’s thoughts isn’t always easy. The SAMbuddy bridges the child’s experience and parental support. We recommend guided use at home. When a child records a message while holding the button, they truly want to be heard.
The SAMbuddy can be used as a tool to practice language skills. Language exercises can be recorded and performed by the child.
Chronically ill clients receive much attention for their treatment, but their feelings often go unnoticed—also in adult care. The SAMbuddy provides comfort and companionship. Nurses and doctors can record messages to keep the client informed and encourage them to share their thoughts.
Fleeing and arriving in an unfamiliar country causes trauma. The SAMbuddy is language-independent, allowing clients to express themselves in their own way.
In times of fear, the SAMbuddy provides a safe listening ear. A recorded story or song in a familiar voice can bring comfort and distraction.
The SAMbuddy can also be used independently by the client, serving as a personal diary.
When a client is forced to be in isolation, the SAMbuddy can provide comfort and an outlet for thoughts.
